What do I do if I am involved in an
accident ?
STAY CALM, ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN!!!
If you are involved in any sort of accident you must stop at the scene
of the accident, you must not simply drive away, even if your
intention is to come back later.
You must swap insurance details with the other party. Make sure you
get their full name and address, the make, model and registration
number of their vehicle and all their insurance details, including the
name of their insurer, their policy number and if possible an address
and telephone number.
If you have a
camera or mobile phone capable of taking photographs it may be an
idea to take pictures of the scene of the accident.
If either party is injured you must contact the police. You may also
wish to call the police if you feel the situation warrants it.
Please do not admit liability at the scene of any accident, even if it
seems to you that it is your fault. Insurance companies have to decide
between them who is at fault and any admission by either party will
not be admissible later. |
What do I do if my bike or car is stolen?
If you discover that your bike or car has been stolen, ring your local
police station who will take a report of the crime and give you a
crime reference number, they may also come out to see you. The crime
reference number is important, you will need it to make a claim under
your policy. |
What do I do next?
If it is out of office hours please email brief details of the
incident using our online claim notification form. We will then ring
you back and advise you on the best course of action to take.
